Comments from previous Nonviolent Communication Foundation Training participants:

"Thank you for a great workshop at the weekend! I am using this ‘new language’ and ‘new tool’ whenever I can throughout my day, and not just when someone is angry, but to try and really listen to people, hear their feelings and needs, and make a connection. My relationship with my husband has much improved, we are so much more connected, and it’s still work in progress, it’s great! I am so happy." - J Elliot, July 2014

"Daren was clear, compassionate & knowledgeable.  His passion for NVC really came across.  I felt he really cared for us." - R Lalor, March 2013

"The structure and content were both excellent - we fitted in a lot of theoretical & practical information / exercises to achieve a real solid result. Delivery of the whole package was great. Thanks a lot!" - V Edwards, Sept 2012

nonviolent-communication-public-workshops-london-2"This was amazing!! Thank you so much for the inspiration and the hope!! This is a beginning of something wonderful I think!" - A Heimersson, Sept 2012

"I keep getting a sense of something finely crafted - refined - precise - carefully positioned - no waste - everything with a clear purpose - a beautiful whole - a masterpiece even - dense and full and rich, and yet easy and fluid and flowing." - S Johnson, March 2012

"This was a really enriching training programme. I was made to feel very comfortable and safe by the facilitators and the great group of co-trainees. Thank you - very inspiring!" - F Brooks, Oct 2011

"I want to express my gratitude again for a very special weekend . . . as powerful and as rich in ancient truth and wisdom as the principles of NVC are (and I believe Marshall to be one of the great teachers of the last century along with the likes of Gandhi, Luther King and Mandela), what we received was as much the part that you played in teaching us. I was profoundly touched by your willingness to share your own struggles and successes with us. Also, your presentation and facilitation skills were clear, connecting and seamless. I also get how important this work is to you personally and that was impacting too."  - J. Kingston, Oct 2011

"A wonderful course and a wonderful concept. I look forward to applying it." - P Bijwe, May 2011

"Probably the best training (the most useful) I've attended in the past 10 years." - S Warwick, May 2011

"I came to this workshop in awe of the perceptiveness and subtlety with which Marshall Rosenberg applied NVC. I left believing that I might one day be able to do so!" - M. Davis.

"An excellent introduction to NVC. One of those courses which you are never the same after attending!" - J. Edge.

1. Exploring Empathy and Empathy Collision with NVC
Date: Sunday 14th December 2014
Location: London
Led by Daren

Empathy is one of the most important needs that we humans have - to be able to share our joys and sorrows with another person and know that they have been received and understood. NVC makes a huge contribution to the understanding and practice of empathy. On this day we will explore the themes of self-empathy and empathy for others more deeply. We will cover the 8 steps to deep self-empathy.  We will have a closer look at different ways we can empathically connect with others including silent empathy, empathic mirroring, and empathising on the judgemental level.  We will also explore 'empathy collision', which occurs when you and another are in pain to the extent that neither of you is able to hear or empathise with the other person. We will look at ways you can remedy this situation, as well as exploring more deeply what empathic connection to self & other can really feel like.

PRICES:
Individuals: £80
Organisations: Sole trader / charity = £100; Public sector = £120; Private sector = £150
Please dialogue with Daren if any of these prices would prevent you from coming.

2. Healing & Reconciliation with NVC
Date: Sunday 1st March 2015
Location: London
Led by Daren

nonviolent-communication-public-workshops-london-4

It seems to be our nature as human beings to fall out with one another, sometimes in minor ways, and sometimes in deep ways. NVC is a powerful tool for healing and reconciliation between people where pain exists between them. On this day we will explore the NVC steps to healing and reconciliation in the context of pain or conflict we might be experiencing with another person. We will also explore the difference between domination and life-enriching approaches to apology, forgiveness and mourning.

PRICES:
Individuals: £80
Organisations: Sole trader / charity = £100; Public sector = £120; Private sector = £150
Please dialogue with Daren if any of these prices would prevent you from coming.

3. Transforming Inner Conflict - The Day of the Inner Jackals!
Date: Sunday 26th April 2015
Location: London
Led by Daren

On this day we will shine the light of consciousness on how we talk to ourselves when we are less than perfect, and transform our relationship to our inner worlds! We will become familiar with the core jackal thoughts that drive our responses to the situations we encounter in our lives. We will also look at how we talk to ourselves when we make mistakes and learn skills to transform our inner conflicts. NVC concepts covered: core jackal beliefs; the inner educator vs inner chooser; life-alienated feelings - guilt, shame and depression.

PRICES:
Individuals: £80
Organisations: Sole trader / charity = £100; Public sector = £120; Private sector = £150
Please dialogue with Daren if any of these prices would prevent you from coming.

4. Transforming Our Relationship To Money with NVC
Date: 2015 - To be confirmed  Times: 4-6pm
Location: Skype Seminar
Led by Daren

Whether we like it or not, our lives are dominated by money - in more ways than one! Money is used to create power and control on our planet - as such it is a key part of the domination cultural style that NVC challenges.  As global citizens we are inextricably linked to global financial systems. We have also internalised the attitudes of the culture around us in the way that we relate to and use money.

Daren is offering a 2-hour Skype seminar during which we will explore these issues, developing our understanding of the current economic paradigm and what NVC can contribute to an alternative life-enriching economic system.  There will also be an opportunity to share and explore your personal feelings and issues regarding money.
The seminar will be limited to 8 places.

PRICES: £10 / £20 / £30 – these are the amounts Daren would enjoy receiving from participants.  Please pay the highest rate that you can pay with comfort and a joyful heart!

Special follow-up offer: Daren is offering a one hour 1-to-1 Skype session using NVC to help you process any difficult emotions / issues you have to do with money.  This session will be at the special rate of £20 / £30 (Daren normally charges £50 per hour for Skype sessions).

N.B. Daren is not a financial adviser and this seminar, along with the 1-to-1 follow up offer, is designed solely to explore principles and personal issues to do with money from an NVC perspective, not to provide financial advice.

5. Transforming Intimate Relationships with NVC
Date: to be confirmed
Location: London
Led by Daren

The focus of this day will be our intimate relationships with our partners / spouses, which is an area that people often find very challenging when using NVC. We will look at the particular needs that manifest most strongly in relationships, and at how they manifest.  We will also explore the communication dynamics that occur in relationships, and practice communicating with our partners, present or past. Come with your current partner or come alone - whether you are currently with a partner or not.

PRICES:
Individuals: £80
Organisations: Sole trader / charity = £100; Public sector = £120; Private sector = £150
Please dialogue with Daren if any of these prices would prevent you from coming.

6. Transforming Anger with NVC
Date: October 2015 (date to be confirmed)
Location: London
Led by Daren

The NVC approach to anger differs from the basic model, including an extra step! On this one day workshop, we will explore how to connect with our anger and ensure that it is expressed in a life affirming way. We will also look at how we can connect with other people when they are angry, either with us or with someone else. The day will be focused on practice, using examples from your own life.

PRICES:
Individuals: £80
Organisations: Sole trader / charity = £100; Public sector = £120; Private sector = £150
Please dialogue with Daren if any of these prices would prevent you from coming.
