 Our NVC foundation trainings are 2 days in length. Attending one will help you to develop clarity concerning the essential concepts and tools used in NVC. You will also develop a basic level of fluency, which will help you to use Nonviolent Communication effectively in your daily life - professional or personal. 2 day foundation trainings are also a pre-requisite for many of the further Nonviolent Communication skills workshops available in both the UK and worldwide. We expect you will find attending one challenging, moving, supportive and fun!

We request that people prepare for foundation trainings by reading Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life, by Marshall Rosenberg (ISBN 1-892-005-03-4). You can read info and reviews about this book, as well as purchase it from Amazon via the link on the right. Or you can purchase it from Watkins bookshop on 19 Cecil Court, central London, WC2N 4EZ (near Leceister Square tube).

London NVC Community Gathering
For those who have completed a foundation training in NVC or equivalent

- Give and receive support to Londoners engaging with NVC
Join Daren De Witt and Beach Bagenal for an afternoon of connection and giraffe consciousness. Daren & Beach are keen to support the development of a sense of community amongst those of us in and near London who are using NVC in our lives. We are planning to hold regular gatherings to enable us all to create and develop connections with one another, share our experiences, give and receive support, and contribute to the growth of NVC in London.
On this gathering we will introduce ourselves to each other in some fun ways, and have opportunities to share in large and small groups. We will also look at ways that we can support one another in our NVC practice and interactions in this vast metropolis!
After the gathering, you are welcome to join Daren & Beach in one of local eateries in Golders Green for a meal.
Pre-requisite: We request that people have completed a foundation training in NVC or equivalent, before attending this gathering. Due to the venue size, numbers are limited to 30 maximum.

Post-foundation Trainings in Nonviolent Communication
The NVC Life Transformation Course
Date: 14th April 2012
Location: London

It seems to be our nature as human beings to fall out with one another, sometimes in minor ways, and sometimes in deep ways. NVC is a powerful tool for healing and reconciliation between people where pain exists between them. On this day we will explore the NVC steps to healing and reconciliation in the context of pain or conflict we might be experiencing with another person. We will also explore the difference between domination and life-enriching approaches to apology, forgiveness and mourning.

2. Transforming Inner Conflict - The Day of the Inner Jackals!
Date: 9th June 2012
Location: London

On this day we will shine the light of consciousness on how we talk to ourselves when we are less than perfect, and transform our relationship to our inner worlds! We will become familiar with the core jackal thoughts that drive our responses to the situations we encounter in our lives. We will also look at how we talk to ourselves when we make mistakes and learn skills to transform our inner conflicts. NVC concepts covered: core jackal beliefs; the inner educator vs inner chooser; life-alienated feelings - guilt, shame and depression.

3. Transforming Anger with NVC
Date: 11th August 2012
Location: London

The NVC approach to anger differs from the basic model, including an extra step! On this one day workshop, we will explore how to connect with our anger and ensure that it is expressed in a life affirming way. We will also look at how we can connect with other people when they are angry, either with us or with someone else. The day will be focused on practice, using examples from your own life.

4. Transforming Intimate Relationships with NVC
Date: 27th October 2012
Location: London
Led by Daren
The focus of this day will be our intimate relationships with our partners / spouses, which is an area that people often find very challenging when using NVC. We will explore the dynamics that occur in relationships, and practice communicating with our partners, present or past. Come with your current partner or come alone - whether you are currently with a partner or not.
